INTRODUCTION OF TBM TUNNEL PROJECT - TIBET PAIMO

Doxiongla Tunnel is a tunnel through Doxiongla Mountain on the Paimo Rural Road. The total length of TBM construction section of Doxiongla tunnel is 4784 meters. The entrance elevation is 3547m and the exit elevation is 3566m. Doxiongla Pass is located in the northern part of the main ridge of the Himalayas about 4200 meters elevation, Doxiongla mountain snow does not melt all year round. This project uses the TBM produced by Herrenknecht in Germany for tunnel construction and segment lining, TBM cutter diameter: 9.13 meters, segment lining inner diameter: 8 meters, TBM began tunneling on May 2, 2016; On December 25, 2017, the Doxiongla Tunnel was successfully completed.
